RHS Restaurant

Client: Royal Horticultural Society
Year: 1985

Following an open competition, Lees Associates was appointed by the RHS to design and construct the society’s new restaurant and kitchen facility at their world famous grounds at Wisley.

Lees Associates was appointed following a series of presentations to a competition panel composed of twenty five leading industrialists and financiers, together with a personal presentation to Her Majesty the Queen Mother, the society’s Patron.

The winning scheme maximises the visual experience for the restaurant’s dinners by the use of a glass house affording uninterrupted vistas across Wisley’s gardens.
