Gary Wait, Designer

Gary Wait joined Lees Associates in 2007, having worked on a number of high-end developments in his homeland, South Africa. From an early stage Gary was able to take the lead on a variety of exclusive projects, often in collaboration with Candy and Candy, including projects at Davies Street and Princes Gate Court. He is currently working on the fit-out of an extremely prestigious apartment in central London with other members of the Lees Associates team

His background in electrical engineering and interior design has given him a depth of technical knowledge and a precise approach to design. Coupled with his excellent communication skills, this has led to Gary becoming a key member of our top-end residential team.

He is continuing to add strings to his bow having recently been made responsible for marketing in the office. He has undertaken this, as he does everything, with a dedicated and enthusiastic attitude. He has recently attained a Professional Certificate in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

He is a regular attendee of International Hotel Forum events, making sufficient impact to be invited as a guest speaker at a recent conference in Venice. He also attends MIPIM on an annual basis. Gary was made an Associate in 2009 in recognition of his commitment to Lees Associates.

In his spare time Gary is something of a social animal, enjoying the bright lights of London as much as his busy schedule allows. As you would expect from a South African, he is a keen fan of sports, especially when it allows him to laugh at his less successful adopted country.
