Restoring Harold MacMillan’s Grade II listed country home

Working closely with renowned interior designer, Nina Campbell, Lees Associates were priveliged to restore Harold Macmillan’s Grade II listed country home in its conversion to a country club with 18-hole golf course. Adding a modern kitchen, comfort systems and ensuite bathrooms to each of the 14 bedrooms to this historic house was a challenge. The conversion was successfully completed in an English country style without compromising the spirit of the building. During this period Lees Associates won four civic awards for work with historic buildings.

In working with Lees Associates over a number of years on retail, corporate and residential projects, as well as the restoration of The Savoy front hall, I have always known that I was collaborating with architects who instinctively appreciated the context of our work as designers. Understandably, for most clients only the best will do and Lees Associates can be entrusted to identify what is best for a particular project and then deliver.
