Having a holistic vision for a project is crucial to creating a home in which all elements are coordinated and harmonious. And key to this is the integration of the Interior Design within the Architecture. Lees Associates adopt a completely flexible approach to our scope for all of our projects and are regularly partnered alongside our clients’ nominated Interior Designers. Alternatively, we are more than happy to provide a single point of contact for Architecture and Interior Design, by partnering with a specialist, hand-picked from our pool of regular trusted collaborators.

By partnering in this way with one of our expert designers and decorators, Lees Associates can deliver the whole scheme: from selection and specification of hard finishes, all the way through to dressing with furniture, soft furnishings and accessories.

What we do

Briefing and concept

From your initial chat with one of our Partners, Andrew or Kathryn, we will help crystallise your objectives for your project into a considered and thorough briefing document. We will listen to your needs and sensitively guide you through the process of designing your home.

The briefing stage is crucial to get to know our clients and establish a clear understanding of the project’s priorities. To start the conversation, we have developed a detailed client questionnaire, which we customise and tailor to each project’s brief.

Interior architecture and space planning

Our team of in-house designers will look at the organisation and flow of the property. We will then develop the concept design language of the project, describing the look and feel of the hard finishes with mood boards, design books and sampling.

We will then develop and document the design of the interior elements with the same rigour and technical ability that you would expect of us as Architects. Typical interior elements would include: bespoke joinery, such as dressing rooms; hard finishes, including flooring; ironmongery; kitchen design (with input from specialists); bathroom design, including sanitary and brassware specification; lighting concept (with input from specialists; and gym, spa and pool design (with input from specialists).
