Great collaborators like Lees Associates mean we can confidently take on really exciting work in new and unfamiliar places, because we have the right team to execute the design vision and deliver for our clients. We’re able to be just as bold and ambitious on a project in London as we would be if we were working close to home in Seattle.
— Tom Kundig, FAIA, RIBA, Principal / Owner & Founder, Olson Kundig
Lees Associates worked with us as our Lead Designer / Architect for the refurbishment of a large Grade II listed townhouse in Belgravia, London.

The project was very challenging from the outset in that not only was the property listed but also quite dilapidated, having been empty for a number of years.

Lees Associates, namely James Hall and Andrew Paulson, successfully achieved a very high luxury finish to this beautiful townhouse, bringing it back to its former glory for our clients to enjoy. This was achieved through their hard work ethic, resilient nature and good communication skills. They were the glue that held that project together.

We really enjoyed working with Lees Associates and will certainly be putting them forward for future projects we have in the pipeline.
— Conor O'Sullivan, Audley Property
Lees provided an incredibly detailed survey for a complex listed building in Cambridge - the resulting product was commented on by the design team for both accuracy but also the level of detail. This may seem like a given in the industry. However it is not, and it highlights the design and architectural background of the survey team to provide the right product in one hit.
— James Forrest-Lines, Associate Director, LXA
Lees Associates were architects for the most challenging swimming and leisure space in London.

The team delivered complex, coordinated design and technical solutions whilst creating an exceptional, elegant space.

The complexity of this piece of work should not be underestimated and was delivered with impressive collaboration with their fellow professional team.
— Client rep, London Square
Lees Associates were retained as architects/designers to fully remodel my house with the goal of creating a clean and contemporary yet warm home housed within what was originally a listed victorian warehouse building. They replaced a previous firm who were unable to manage the complexity, detail, design and management inherent to such a large and intricate project.

Lees did an admirable job on a complex project, with the end result clearly displaying their consistent attention to detail, understanding of spaces and dedication to the brief.
— Private client
A quick note to thank Lees Associates for all your help and hard work in bringing this project to fruition. I have no doubt it is going to be a real joy bringing it to life and I have been so impressed with the team that is working hard to get it off the ground, as I know the clients will be equally grateful for.
— Lucy Day-Shanks, Group Director, Accouter Group
Working in luxury retail in London is challenging anyway but in a significant listed historic building which operates 24/7 it takes a lot of dedication, skill and organisation.

Over numerous projects with a variety of staff, led by Kathryn Archer, they have supported our team in delivering world class retail interiors within very fast timelines. They are always positive and have a refreshing ‘can-do’ attitude.
— Roger Edey, Associate, David Collins Studio
We have known the team at Lees for many years and have successfully worked together on two challenging residential schemes for clients. Their positive approach, experience and use of BIM greatly help the journey from concept through to completion for the client and whole design team. We are looking forward to working with the team at Lees Associates again soon.
— Nick Walton, Director, Walton Wagner
Lees Associates performed excellently on a challenging project. They are professional, committed, thorough and effective at every level in the organisation – something which stems from the top and can be difficult to achieve. Our clients and projects require a particularly high degree of flexibility and a collaborative approach making it essential for us work with a firm of this calibre.
— Eoin Egan, Partner, Egan Lucocq
Lees Associates have been great to work with from start to finish. As a high profile medical clinic, we have a rather discerning clientele, however, it is important that all our guests feel welcomed and comfortable as soon as they enter the practice. This was a key objective when planning the new clinic. As we were going to be occupying a much larger space it was important to us that guests didn’t feel they were entering a sterile space but would instead feel a sense of belonging. Lees Associates and the team were very conscientious to our needs and beautifully designed our clinic to our specifications and with elegance. Our guests have been delighted with our new location.
— Felicity Leahy, Practice Manager, Dr Dray
Lees Associates were appointed to undertake the detailed design and architectural role for the development of Camp End Manor. Throughout the process they worked tirelessly to ensure the correct standard of finish was achieved and effectively managed the coordination of the various specialist consultants involved.

It was very important that the detail and execution of the design was handled correctly. Lees Associates managed this is an efficient and expert manner. The end result is better than I had hoped for. I would have no hesitation in recommending Lees Associates and their team to anybody
— Daniel Mateos, Partner, Werner Capital
Lees Associates have a wealth of knowledge and experience working on high-end projects in and around London. I worked alongside them on the refurbishment of a Grade II listed property in South Kensington which was sympathetically reconfigured to incorporate modern conveniences whilst ensuring the property was future-proofed. Their pragmatic solutions and focused approach were integral to the success of the project.
— Averil Blundell, Averil Blundell Interior Design
Lees Associates’ level of service, quality of design and professional conduct has been of the highest quality. Throughout the process Lees Associates have established themselves as a key part of the design team and I would have no hesitation in recommending them for future developments.
— Kris Britland, Savills
I worked with Andrew Paulson of Lees Associates on one of the finest high-end residential projects in Europe, where Lees Associates were working as Executive Architects with the very best of interior designers – always a challenging role, but one which they performed very well.

They exhibit a positive attitude to problem solving and are prepared to push boundaries in order to achieve the desired outcomes, which often require some thinking outside the box. Communication, attention to detail and verifying elements are tremendously important and in this field they excel.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Lees Associates and look forward to working with Andrew and his team in the future.

— Jerome Bradley, London & Regional Properties
In working with Lees Associates over a number of years on retail, corporate and residential projects, as well as the restoration of The Savoy front hall, I have always known that I was collaborating with architects who instinctively appreciated the context of our work as designers. Understandably, for most clients only the best will do and Lees Associates can be entrusted to identify what is best for a particular project and then deliver.
— Nina Campbell
We have worked with Lees Associates over many years on a variety of project types and sizes and have always enjoyed our working and personal relationships along the way.

Andrew and Kathryn are always fully hands-on for each project and take great care in the design and coordination process at each stage of the project; something that is critical to the smooth running of the design process. This, along with a very high standard of design information, aids the on-site works and ensures an excellent quality of finish at completion.
— Chris Rowe, Slender Winter Partnership
In acting as consultants on the restoration of The Savoy front hall, Lees Associates handled the architectural renovations with the perception of specialists, finding sensitive solutions which harmonised traditional features with the highest of today’s facilities. Such a project is always complex and Lees successfully managed the programme on a strict deadline with minimum of disruption to our guests.
— Lesley Knight, Savoy Group
The key to a successful construction project is the accurate production and timely control of key information; with this achieved the optimum results can be assured. If an injection of design flair and ingenuity can be added to the mix then one has the making of a remarkable project. Since first working with Lees Associates in early 2012 I have seen that these attributes are at the forefront of their work and their art.
— Robert Archer, Versant Developments
It was striking how all the attendees at your anniversary celebration had real warmth and regard for the practice and for the honesty and professionalism with which you work. I frequently heard the comment “they are better than the rest”, “we like to work with Andrew/Kathryn”.
— Mike Coleman, Sir Robert McAlpine

Lees Associates is a very creative and professional architecture and design practice. They really look after their clients’ interests.
— Private high–end residential property developer, London
We worked with Lees Associates on an exceptionally high quality residential building for an owner occupier. The quality of their design and attention to detail was excellent. They were proactive and practical throughout the project, always looking for ways of working with other members of the team to achieve the optimum solution, which in turn lead to a first rate end product.

— Wes Bradford, GVA Second London Wall
Innovation, flexibility and the expertise to manage a fast-track design process were all essential when we brought four separate offices into one building in the City. Lees Associates proved they could think decisively on their feet, handling major design and space planning changes even as the fit-out was underway, without any reduction to the smart, efficient and contemporary result we had been promised.
— David Ninnim, Greig Middleton
As a client I expect the design consultancy to listen well and then come back with sound advice – even if it’s not necessarily what I want to hear. Once the job has started, attention to detail is vital, attention to the budget is critical and attention to my company’s requirements is essential. It is a lot to ask but Lees Associates achieved it all.
— John Wallace, Ladbroke Clubs
