Our experienced team have successfully delivered some exemplary projects across a range of sectors and are uniquely qualified to cast an independent eye over projects for which we are not appointed as a designer. In particular, we have extensive experience of refurbishments and renovations of heritage and listed properties.
What we do
Appointments
Ensure our appointment dovetails with the other necessary specialists’, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated CMT service across the project.
Design review service
This can include early stage peer design reviews, risk-mitigation appraisals, sample checking, reviewing contractor’s proposals or specific trade shop drawing reviews.
Site monitoring
Attending site at regular pre-agreed intervals, carrying out a comprehensive Architectural inspection and preparing a thorough site visit report. We use a dedicated app for this, which ensures every comment is clearly located on the drawings, accurately described, and responsibility for addressing among the design/contractor team identified. We also carry out test witnessing.
Defects inspections
Using the same app as for site monitoring reports, we carry out pre-handover snagging inspections, producing a comprehensive report with responsibilities allocated. We are often appointed solely in this capacity for projects where there is disagreement as to what is or is not a defect and who is responsible for its rectification.
