Job Description
Purpose of the role: Providing high-level job-running managerial support to large project teams
Reporting to: Partners
Overview of the role: typically working as a Project Architect, taking full responsibility for projects and reporting directly to a Partner
Operational duties and responsibilities (across all RIBA Workstages):
Drawing and sketching architectural and interior design solutions by hand
Briefing junior colleagues for modelling schemes in BIM (ARCHICAD)
Ensuring projects remain on track, both in terms of delivery programme and profitability
Managing internal design teams
Independently developing technical design and detail solutions; briefing others to develop further
Reviewing design information prepared by junior team members, providing feedback and support; ensuring Design Quality Checklists have been utilised
Producing reports in Word, Pages, Excel, Numbers and InDesign
Drafting NBS specifications
Acting in role of Contract Administrator
Acting in role of Principal Designer
Organising, participating in, contributing to and chairing team meetings and design workshops
Organising, participating in, and contributing to, internal CPD presentations
Operating and maintaining standard internal project management and administrative systems
Providing general support and assistance in the office
Complying with Health & Safety, Employment and Environmental Policies
